Nagesh Rao, Ph.D., is Principal, Siya Consulting, a firm specializing in international coaching, consulting, and training. He just completed International Coaching Federation’s Approved Coach Specific Training Hours and is finishing his coaching hours to be credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). He brings outstanding skills in listening, empathy, and creativity to create a space for his coaching clients to reflect on issues from varied perspectives and harvest optimal solutions. Nagesh also brings extensive global academic and professional experience to all his work.

Nagesh’s high quality work is shaped by his undergraduate degree in accounting, a master’s in business administration, a master’s and a doctorate in communication (the last from Michigan State University); a two-week workshop for senior academic leaders conducted by Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education; lived and teaching experience in United States, India, Thailand, and United Arab Emirates.

Nagesh is currently Professor and Chair, Department of Social Medicine, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Ohio, U.S.A. Prior to this, Nagesh was Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; President & Director of MICA, a prestigious communication institute in India; and Special Adviser, Faculty Affairs and Inclusion, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

On a personal note, Nagesh is a teacher-trainer-learner, storyteller, poet, proud father of two strong independent girls, and is blessed to have a partner with passion, generosity, and a powerhouse of positive energy. As a marginal who belongs to and not belong to many cultures, he brings a wealth of expertise and experiences to my work
